If you study the four foundations of mindfulness and especially mindfulness of breathing, we would like to recommend the translations and writings of the the late Buddhadasa, a Thai monk and cultural reformer who like the great spiritual teachers of the past put aside ceremony for the substance of the teaching, in this case the basic methods of Buddhist practice.
